DIARY OF A LAGOS CORPER 2

Hello, my people your inconsistent blogger is back again. Before y’all crucify me just know that I am still doing this NYSC thing and it’s not easy. I can’t coman go and die. Speaking of NYSC, this is part two of the diary of a Lagos corper. Let’s call this episode “Exploring and balance”.  You can read the part one here ➡ Diary of a Lagos corper 1

First things first help me thank God oh, your girl has stopped commuting from Sango to Ikeja. I am living in Ikeja na and my people living in Lagos is expensive oh. You won’t understand how expensive it is until you must pay bills. Biko I want to go back to school so that they wee be giving me pocket money because I can’t recommend this adulting in Lagos thing, my dears.

Opay has managed to be a life saver and a thorn in my flesh at the same time. I don’t understand how a service can be effective at the same time utterly useless. There are days when Opay is the definition of everything right about a transport service. Other days the drivers accept the ride without knowing how to get to your location. I sha promised myself to give grace to businesses that boost the Nigerian economy so we move regardless of the hassle.

My people school isn’t a scam oh. Why? Because who would have taught Iretomiwa Ekisola would be using Software Development Life Cycle for anything in this life. Of all the things to use in computer science curriculum, SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE! It’s important but most Nigerian tech companies prefer for the employee to carry the whole problem on his/her head like puff puff so the level of proper organization is surprising me. I say all these to say pay attention in school guys. Apparently Mr Ekisola was right when he told me “no knowledge is lost”

CDS is going by the way. I am under beautification and maintenance and I go for it. I am stating this because some of your MCM and WCW don’t go oh. Don’t let me mention names 😀 Anyway, this NYSC stage has been full of living in a butter neighborhood, trying plenty new things and trying to balance so that I don’t run mad. Pray for your girl oh because this Lagos corper life can only work in God’s hands.

If you are currently serving, how is NYSC treating you?

What are you reviews on Opay?

How exactly is this adulting going?

Iretomiwa

Hello people of the internet. My name is Ekisola Iretomiwa. I am a young lady still growing. I have a billion scars because I showed up for this thing called life. (I am literally quoting my fake therapist   ). I hope you enjoy the roller coaster that is my mind.

Babe, you are so lucky to serve in Lagos sha… When I remember my NYSC days it makes me sometimes want to cry… I wouldn’t say it was a wasted year but I wished I serve in Lagos in a company where I could have developed my self… In all I thank God!
